dark night fireworks- my first (published) mlqc fic <333 2nd person and entirely too pretentious (rumor has it even the author doesn’t really know what she was trying to convey except. n e u r o s c i e n c e and MEMORY is cool). slight spoilers for ch.16

watch the universe expand- a long, rambly attempt to explore lucien’s character and also evolutionary biology and evols told through excessive metaphor and bedtime stories. spoilers for lucien’s childhood and ch.13. im proud of this one ^^ though there is a lot of projection involved. also lucien is an enneagram five.

to dwell on- c: lucien and homes and him and mc being soft together that’s it <3 or in more coherent language some bittersweet fluff for lucien’s bday based on moments from his mini-house and his most recent bday karma + date. in hindsight i’ve realized i didn’t use his or MC’s name at all outside of dialogue LOL

king lear and other tragedies- a prompt for the librarian ask meme linked above! im p sure anon prompted me a month before i got around to actually writing an answer hndkslgj but. here we are. shakespeare and tragedies and parallels between characters and a lot of pretentious dialogue, meant to be an extension of/missing scene after lucien’s theater date. this only rly exists bc of a single line in the date mentioning the production being put on was king lear and i took that and ran for all it was worth

Gavin

just a summer thing- a short little scenario that manifested in my head one warm summer night when i should’ve been sleeping and my first foray into domestic!gavin territory <333 i’d say it’s probably one of my lightest fics, if not the lightest ahfksldg (also heavily inspired by the way @belovedstill writes gavin/mc pst basia’s fics are to die for)

under a golden sun- high school era gavin, MC and minor! originally intended for gavin’s bday except (1) i didn’t finish on time LOL and (2) the fic never mentions his bday oops. also in 2nd person though if you asked why i couldn’t tell you it just felt more right. ft. basketball and memories and a bit of bittersweet nostalgia. simultaneously has some of what i think is my weakest writing (in terms of pacing/consistent tone imo) and some of my favorite lines i’ve ever written for a gavin fic and i’ve come to appreciate it more over time bc of that c:

today, this is the whole universe (and that’s okay)- gavin, MC, and domestic, sleepy sundays. and a long ao3 title that’s it that’s the fic (narrator: and then, she never wrote anything purely fluffy ever again). heavily inspired by gavin’s sleepy morning asmr and that one clip of his cn voice actor playing/humming his theme (aka soft soft SOFTEST) also just. i said it already but all of my domestic!gavin is inspired by and exists thanks to the breathtaking writing of @belovedstill <333

in the wind- a semi(?)exploration of gavin’s wind but also just him loving mc bc that’s what he and his evol are all about. short and bittersweet <3 (if anyone’s keeping track i think this is where my writing starts to lean more on the uhhh descriptive side and becomes less dialogue-based? or i feel there’s a diff from this writing style compared to the earlier gavin fics (besides parts of under a golden sun) which is just interesting for me to think about but not relevant to the fic itself ahfklsdf) 

winter’s end- winter world!gavin and mc and a softer, more bittersweet reunion. m a j o r spoilers for ch.22 and what comes before. also gavin’s past. it hurt to write and apparently hurts to read b u t there’s a happy ending. i promise c:

sunrise to noon- a secret santa fic that ended up being less holiday related than I originally intended but like all things domestic and Gavin I think it works well as it is <3 just tender winter mornings and domesticity and the return of my fluff writing

falling down the stairs of your smile- this was a prompt for the librarian prompt meme and doesn’t have an official title on the ask but here’s the title in all its long all-lowercase ao3 glory. basically the first few chapters from kiro’s perspective with slight spoilers from his past! kiro is such a joy to write and i love this a lot and im super glad i got the opportunity to write this (the waY i banged this out in one night when i got the ask askfsdkfksl)

Of Corgis and Christmas- a secret santa present for a victor stan that conjured some fluffy victor writing from my victor-less heart,,, a christmas miracle aND im lowkey proud of how it turned out but the highlights of the fic are Goldman and Cindy T-T they deserve more screentime and someday. i will write the subplot that got cut where Goldman sends Cindy embarrassing Victor stories to try to impress her and MC helps :>

spend my whole life searching- i combined 2 victor librarian asks from the librarian prompt meme above would u believe he's the only suitor I got twice 😔 this man is so popular and for what (only kidding ahdjdjs we just have a relationship of mutual disapproval dont mind me dragging him just a little i need to compensate for the appreciation I developed for him while writing this :>) this is similar to the kiro librarian fic in that it kinda gives vic's perspective on victor/MC's first in-game meeting with a healthy dose of and they were soulmates and angsty longing™ and also. victor is an enneagram one

Kiro

Before going public, Kiro has to keep the PDA down to a minimum. Can’t have people making assumptions and starting rumors. 

He does try to be sneaky about it though. Like stealing a kiss while no one is looking or reaching for your hand to give it a firm squeeze before letting it go. 

If he’s really feeling cheeky, he might cop a feel. Maybe give your butt a nice firm squeeze right before he has to perform/do a shoot.

Once you two go public, Kiro is all over you! Kisses, hugs, hand holding, ect. 

He’s very touchy in general and loves linking his arms with yours as he drags all over the place. 

The type to hug you from behind and rest his chin on the top of your head as you both are looking the menu in some fast food restaurant at 2AM.

Showing Kiro any sort of affection turns into a competition because he’s just like “Oh? So you think you can give me all this affection and I sit back and do nothing?!”

How to get him flustered? Lean in for a kiss in front of his production team and see what happens. 

Gavin

Despite what most believe Gavin is a very affectionate person. 

He doesn’t care about what people think!

If he wants to give you a kiss or hold your hand then he’s going to do it. Only way he’ll stop is if it makes you uncomfortable. Otherwise, he’ll do as he pleases to show the love of his life some loving. 

His favorite form of showing his affection would have to be kissing you. Whether its on the lips or on the cheek, he just can’t help himself. 

“People are staring? Let them...”  Then he proceeds to smother you with a bunch of kisses just to spite the onlookers. 

Can sometimes get carried away in his efforts, so you might have to reign him in (if you want to). 

Practically melts when you show him any form of affection in public. 

You could be standing on the tip of your toes with puckered lips, wordlessly asking for a kiss and he’s just a blushing mess. 

Victor

Doesn’t do a lot of PDA, but when he does do it, his actions really make your heart flutter. 

You could be anywhere and he’ll just randomly take your hand in his and press a soft kiss against the back of your hand. 

He doesn’t do it on purpose but his random acts of affection out in the open often leave you flustered.

Imagine being at an event with your arms linked with his and while he’s in the middle of talking with a business associate you just happen to look up at him with a smile and suddenly you feel a pair of warm lips pressed against your own. 

By the time your brain registers what happened, Victor’s focus is back to whoever he’s talking to while you’re standing with heated cheeks and a frazzled brain.

Likes having your arms wrapped around his whether its when you’re at an event or walking through the streets.

While Victor isn’t the type to show it often, he LOVES it when you’re affectionate with him! 

Lucien

While he doesn’t show affection openly often, he’s not opposed to it.

70% of the time loves doing it to tease you. He likes seeing you get embarrassed. 

Usually lets you take the lead, like with hand holding or resting your head against his shoulder when you’re having a picnic or seated on a bus. 

When he’s not in a teasing mood he often finds himself reaching out to caress your cheek. 

He finds in comforting to know that while his hands a covered in so much death and destruction the purest thing in his life can never be harmed by him.

 His heart swells if you lean into his touch with a soft smile but it confirms his beliefs.

Shaw 

This man doesn’t give two shits about who’s watching or who has something to say. 

He likes to think that if he’s with someone then why should it matter if others look down on them just for showing their love for one another. So any glares, he’ll just shrug them off. 

Is all over you whenever he feels like it. 

A big fan of hugs from behind so expect a lot of those. 

You’d be surprise with how affectionate Shaw can be. You’ll be sitting at a bench at a park and he’ll have his head resting against your thighs while looking up at you. 

You’ll be gently stroking his hair and he reaches up to touch you randomly. 

Might make a comment about how soft your thighs are before getting up to kiss you.

Has a habit of taking your hands in his and playing with them as he’s studying or going over something for his next gig, so its not uncommon for him to reach for your hand while you’re both sitting at a cafe.

Gets really smug if you openly show him affection, but on the inside he’s practically beaming with joy.

MC and Gavin brave the summer heat.

When the power goes out at approximately five minutes to three on what's bound to be the hottest summer afternoon Loveland City's ever seen, MC wants to stomp her foot. The only thing stopping her is the rational and more than a little lazy realization that moving would only make the heat worse.

She settles for a huff, but then regrets that, too. Even her breath's too warm to stand— she's sure the outside temperature's close to a human's melting point, and inside isn't much better. The air just sits and stews and stews.

If she were in a better mood, she would think the situation a little similar to how her favorite dim sum are made— being inside right now certainly makes her feel sorry for all the baozi she's ever ordered. Being steamed alive, she decides, would be the worst way to die. Probably. Especially now, since the loss of electricity not only takes out her rationed AC, it kills her fan, too.

She flaps a hand at her face, but it only serves to remind her of just how sweaty she'd somehow gotten in the five minutes since the power had gone out.

For a moment, she debates sticking her head in the fridge, but then reason returns: logically, the power could come back at any moment, and even if it doesn't, the precious cold is better served keeping her food from spoiling in the meantime. Besides. She really, really doesn't want to move. And—

Heedless of MC's internal agonizing, Gavin sleeps facedown on the sofa, still somehow in his denim jacket and jeans. She tries not to sigh too loudly as she casts a look at his relaxed side profile, eyes closed, normally furrowed brow smoothed out.

The STF had been swamped with work until the night before and he'd been out investigating again just that morning. It's very probable that this nap is the most sleep he's gotten since the start of the case. She doesn't want to disturb him— especially not if he's going to wake up to her, her head stuck halfway in the freezer, which would no doubt merit a short lecture and an endless amount of teasing.

She instead tries to focus on the report open on her laptop, but all staring does is make the words swim across her vision, little fishes frolicking in the building waves of heat. She sighs. Again. Her laptop closes with a gentle click.

As if alerted by the sound of her annoyance, Gavin's brow visibly furrows.

"What's wrong?"

The sleepy question is addressed to and muffled by the couch pillows his head's sandwiched between, and despite her bad mood, MC laughs.

"Nothing's wrong. Go back to sleep."

Stretching a hand out, she flicks the only reachable part of him-- his denim-clad elbow. Before she can pull back safely, his wrist snaps out and he's captured her offending hand, winding his fingers through hers.

"You're warm," he mumbles. "Hand's all sweaty."

He doesn't let go. Admittedly, it's more than a little nice to hold his hand after barely seeing him all week, but the warmth of his hand— that's also taken hold deep in her chest and set her cheeks aflame— grows from pleasant to uncomfortable to nearly unbearable over the course of a minute.

She frees her hand with a pout. Gavin raises his head a heartbeat later, hair rumpled, eyes bleary. He blinks a few times, running a hand self-consciously through his hair (MC won't ever say it, but it makes it worse, somehow, in the most adorable way), then his eyes focus as they settle on her. A boyish smile tugs at his lips.

"Good morning?"

Her cheeks warm again. There's something intimate about seeing him like this— just woken up, his first words to her, his eyes fixing on her first, before anything else— it makes her heart beat faster, makes her duck her head even though they're far beyond shyness by now.

"Hey—" he starts, low and tender, and she leans toward him almost unconsciously, a sunflower bending to the sun (though really, she'd rather not think of the sun considering the heat).

But, then:

"Isn't that fan normally on?"

She nods, taking his distraction as a chance to recover from her growing blush.

"Power outage. I didn't want to wake you, though— I thought it'd come back on if I waited long enough."

His brow furrows again.

"That's why you were so warm."

The fan starts spinning again before she can respond, and, oh, she thinks instead of protesting, the cool air's heaven, almost better than ice cream, it washes over her, and she can feel her limbs lighten and her head clear, it's the most wonderful feeling, and a smile spreads across her face before she can help it.

When she seems satisfied with the cool, he takes her hands in his and pulls her close, buries his face in her hair as she lets out a surprised squeak. The breeze wraps around them, enveloping them in their own personal pocket of air conditioning.

"You— " she begins, half 'what am I going to do with you,' half just plain fond. He grins, trying to make his eyes innocent and wide, but there's no hiding the mischief in his voice when he replies,

"What else am I supposed to do if it's too hot to do this?"

He leans in and catches her lips, gentle and lingering. When he pulls away from the kiss to take a breath, still grinning, she makes a fondly exasperated noise, hooks her arms around his neck, and pulls him back in for another.

This time, she's warm for all the right reasons.

I’ve been playing dating sims since Voltage dropped My Forged Wedding for mobile and Starry Sky in Spring had an English patch released and there’s really been no looking back, ever since! IkeVamp is my latest dating sims love and my favourite one to write for, by far. Do you all remember that scene in IkeSen Masamune’s route where he presses you up against the wall?  If you were one of those people who, like me, opted out of the premium story, then you can probably understand the extreme blue ovaries I developed as a result.  So extreme, in fact, that I took it upon myself to compose my own steamy ending.  Which brings us to the thirst fics that I write today.  How thirsty, you ask?  Check out my Masterpost and decide for yourselves, lovelies!

Pickle

A certain Sanada bro (SLBP) sandwich over at Ao3, a Yukimura/MC/Saizo piece at the same site: my foray into the world of fan-fiction was sudden, unintentional but oh, what a ride it’s been so far! Four years in and the harem has only continued to grow and expand as I try and spread that love (and thirst) around with my writings. It is my hope to give back even a little bit more, this time around with this amazing project! Fandoms I have my fingers (also: mouth, feet, soul) dipped into: SLBP, Ikevamp, MLQC and Obey Me! But how deep does that rabbit hole run? Why, dear folks, jump in right here and find out!

Mrs. Otome

I've been writing fanfiction on again, off again, for nearly twenty years. Bioware games got me hooked on the concept of romance in video games, and were pretty much the gateway drug to otome, though I had been sneaking my grandmother's terribly cheesy cowboy Harlequin novels for years before that. I primarily write for SLBP and Ikevamp, dabble in MLQC, Ikerev, and Ikesen, and look forward to trying my hand at Obey Me if any of you are so inclined!
